Transport

Valtice is easy to reach by plane, bus, train or car – you can find it between Břeclav and Mikulov, near the border with Austria.

Plane: Brno (65 km), Vienna (80 km), Prague (260 km), Budapest (280 km), Bratislava (90 km).

Bus: Direct connection from Brno (1 hour), Vienna (2,5 hour), Břeclav and Mikulov (0,5 hour).

Train: From major railroad corridor Vienna-Břeclav-Brno, via Břeclav or Znojmo.

            From Prague, At the airport take special AE bus (from the city bus stop, CZK 60) which goes to the Prague main railway station (in Czech: Hlavni nadrazi). Then take intercity or express train to Breclav (CZK ca 500). From Breclav it is some 15 min by local train to Valtice. Train ticket will be Praha-Breclav and could be a return ticket. In the ticket office tell them the train or ask for advice, for some trains there is a surcharge.

Car: From major roads Brno-Vienna (E461) and Brno-Bratislava (E65).
