The review summarizes the literature and principles of analysis of nonionic surfactants in water matrices. The methods are arranged according to the principles and corresponding instrumentation. The recently used methods, BiAS and CTAS, and practical experience with them are described in more detail. For the determination of nonionic surfactant concentrations by the methods, the choice of a standard compound is of critical importance. The topic is discussed in detail.
