The review covers goals, methodology, and types of stability testing and its future trends as used in international context. As the interest in stability testing is currently increasing, new methods and procedures have been developed for its optimization. With continuing globalization, many attempts at their unification have been made and international guidelines and recommendations have been reported. This overview includes current procedures and recommendations dealing with some types of stability studies.
