The review deals with the current state and prospects of application of iron compounds as catalysts in organic synthesis. A list of the reactions is focused on the reactions forming C-C bonds such as cross-coupling reactions, conjugated addition, ene reactions, radical additions of polyhalogenated compounds, carbometallation, polymerization, cyclization of halodienes, and ring expansion with CO insertion.
