Fields of study and their specialities are summarized, which are offered at Universities in the Czech Republic and which are oriented to environmental protection judging from their names. Purposefulness of the education of graduates specialized to the environmental protection is discussed. It is included the list of teaching texts edited under the project PHARE which has been oriented for supporting teaching of environmental protection in the Czech Republic.
