The method of colorimetric detection of 2-chlorobenzylidenemalononitrile (CS agent) in air by means of 2,2'-dithiobis(5-nitropyridine) has been described. The sensitivity of detector tubes is very high: yellow colouration appears from 0.5 microgramm CS absorbed from the passing air sample.
