Carbon-carbon composites reinforced with a plain-woven and satin-woven fabrics (Torayca carbon fibre T 800) were prepared with thermosetting resin UMAFORM LE. These composites were reimpregnated under different conditions with UMAFORM LE after carbonization. The influences of impregnant density, pressure, and impregnation time on open porosity, apparent density, flexural strength, and flexural modulus of composites were tested and compared.
