The examples of application of on-line FIA-AAS combination are presented for the trace heavy metals analysis of environmental and biological samples. The influence of various parts of flow injection system, e.g. type of flow, injection mode, separation and-or precontration cartridge, and detection mode on analytical signal are discussed.
