Capillary electrophoresis was applied for the determination of activities of purine-metabolism enzymes: purinenucleoside phosphorylase (PNP), adenine phosphoribosyl transferase (APRT), adenosine deaminase (ADA), and hypoxanthine guanine phosphoribosyl transferase (HPRT). The enzyme activities were determined in the lysate of human erythrocytes after incubation with the corresponding substrate. For clinical purposes, the developed methods were validated by comparison with the standard HPLC methods.
