NaY and HY zeolites were modified by the ion exchange for Ca and La ions and used as catalysts for the adamantane synthesis by isomerization of endo-tricyclodecane. The presence of Ca and La ions enhances the NaY zeolite activity and slightly decreases the HY zeolite activity. CaHY and LaHY zeolites show a higher selectivity for adamantane.
