Chemical education is very pronouncedly aimed at accumulation of theoretical knowledge and there is only little effort to acquire skills in using the knowledge for application to problems of everyday life. To make chemical education more topical, pH values in the human digestive tract, urinary system, cardiovascular system and skin are mentioned in teaching pH of solutions.
